The Watch Rooftop Kitchen & Spirits

Don’t let our visitors have all the fun. While hotel dining might seem reserved for out-of-towners, eating and drinking on Charleston’s latest rooftop shouldn’t be. The Watch—located high up on the seventh floor of the stylishly renovated, indigo-accented Restoration—offers posh cocktails, wine, and beer, as well as a smartly crafted menu care of Oak Steakhouse Atlanta vet Chad Anderson. In short: come hungry. Start with a bowl of rich, silken cauliflower soup, sample the prettiest deconstructed falafel (pictured), and relish in the pork shoulder agnolotti. And you won’t leave hungry—or disappointed—if you pick the burger, served with a generous helping of truffle frites. Sit at the bar for stellar sunset views from the inside, though the tables outdoors offer unprecedented photo opps. therestorationhotel.com

Stems & Skins

Park Circle residents have gained a new watering hole along the East Montague strip. And while this place of “Fresh & Freaky Ferments” is perfect for calling it quits after a long day’s work, it’s not a dive. Brought to life by sommelier Matt Tunstall, who previously curated the wine selection at Husk, and Bull Street Gourmet’s former executive chef, Justin Croxall, Stems & Skins offers an inviting and totally chill vibe—despite a bent toward upscale provisions. Along with an extensive list of natural wines (those left untouched by chemicals) available by the bottle or glass, patrons will find a full bar, a selection of international beers, and a menu of Mediterranean-style small bites. Another plus? Food is served until 2 a.m. stemsandskins.com
