Local artist Jeff Kopish’s magnificent octopus, made from recycled plastic bottles, grocery bags, and tuna cans, presides over the colorful dining room.

An abrupt rain shower might send you running into this splashy newcomer—as would the desire for tiki drinks garnished with orchids. The design alone is worth a visit, with sculptor Jeff Kopish’s jaw-dropping giant hanging octopus made entirely from recycled materials like plastic bottles, grocery bags, and tuna cans—the very items that might otherwise have wound up littering the ocean. Sustainable bamboo stairwells appease your inner environmentalist, as do the biodegradable utensils and straws made out of recycled avocado pits. There’s the “bubble room” that mimics a breaking wave, plus a room with wallpaper that makes you feel like you’re swimming in a sea of undulating kelp. Popular snacks include blue crab rangoons and Spam sliders, which the chef cures with brown sugar and thyme before caramelizing and serving on soft buns with pickles and spicy aioli. Wiki Wiki makes a perfect lazy brunch spot for sipping on locally made “Natural Blonde” Bloody Marys and feasting on eggs over kimchi fried rice or their crispy take on shrimp and grits using coconut shrimp and Gullah-inspired peanut-tomato gravy. Bonus: from their top deck tiki bar, you can see the Atlantic.

Open Monday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-until late, & brunch on Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. 106 E. Ashley Ave., (843) 588-9454, wikiwikisandbar.com
