There's a new bag in town, plus a colorful pop-up

Alesya Bags has introduced two new styles, which are both available in four colors.

In the Bag

Charleston-based designer Alesya Opelt Macatol has introduced two new chic leather laptop styles named after her daughters, Maribelle and Dorothy Lee. The Maribelle, designed to carry travel essentials, holds a 17-inch laptop and can fit over a rolling luggage handle, while the smaller Dorothy Lee holds a 13-inch laptop. Both bags feature a removable crossbody strap and printed interior with pockets for organization, but our favorite detail is the magazine sleeve pocket! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Alesya Bags to open its first store at 107-B Spring Street later this year. [alesyabags.com]

Double Duty

Women’s clothing and gift shop Rhodes Boutique has expanded to two storefronts in South Windermere Center after opening a separate Home and Gift Shop four doors down from its existing ladies apparel and accessories store. Along with the new digs, Rhodes is increasing its selection of luxury Matouk bed linens and adding new home lines that include Sferra Linens, and Arte Italica tableware, as well as Uttermost and Currey furnishings and decor. Rhodes will continue to offer its popular embroidery and monogram services in the new space. The women’s boutique features Crosby by Mollie Birch dresses, Lilla P separates, Gigi New York handbags, and Goldbug collection jewelry. Rhodes Boutique, formerly Embroidery Boutique, has been in business for almost 20 years and moved to South Windermere in 2011. [84 and 92 Folly Road Blvd., rhodesboutique.com]

Head to Toe

Pop into Mylkbar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 7 to shop an expanded selection of colorful Lina Rosa beaded earrings, meet designer Paulina Rodriguez, and indulge in one of Mylk Bar’s nontoxic manicures or pedicures. Shoppers will get a preview of Lina Rosa’s upcoming March collection, which is inspired by the designer’s recent travels to Morocco. For another treat, you can enjoy champagne and macarons from Carey Roth during the pop-up event. With any Lina Rosa purchase, Mylkbar is offering 20 percent off other retail, as well as a free polish upgrade and luxe salt soak. [920 Houston Northcutt Blvd., linarosajewelry.com]
