Find her glassware in a rainbow of hues at her King Street storefront opening in Charleston Place on February 14
The founder of Estelle Colored Glass, the jewel-toned stemware that has become a go-to wedding gift, is opening her first storefront in The Charleston Place on February 14. The 1,200-square-foot space fronting King Street will showcase the full collection, including iridescent colors exclusive to the shop. Hall, a lawyer-turned-entrepreneur, launched the vintage-meets-modern stemware line in 2019 as an homage to her grandmother’s Southern hospitality. Hall’s personal style seems to reflect the brand—minimalistic and functional with bold pops of color. Here, she shares her go-to Galentine’s Day gift.
Q Tell us about what you do for self-care.
A Running a small business is hard, so my evenings at home are sacred to me and my family. I love lighting a candle from the Charleston Candle Company in the “Southern Magnolia” scent (above).
Q What’s an item that you can’t live without?
A When cooking at home, you can’t beat a cast-iron skillet. I love mine from Smithey Ironware made in Charleston (above).
Q Who are your other favorite local founders or makers?
A I love these cozy, cotton pajamas (above) from Morgan Smith of Minnow. Her expanding line of basics for the whole family is so thoughtfully made.
Q What’s your go-to Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day gift?
A These “Formosa” bracelets by The Tiny Tassel (above) make for a fun pop of color and a great gift for Galentine’s Day.
Q What’s in your real or virtual shopping cart that you hope to purchase soon?
A Loeffler Randall “Goldy” boots in black (above); I want a pair so bad. They instantly elevate any simple winter outfit!
Q How do you use your Estelle Colored Glass pieces?
A We believe that our pieces should be used as an everyday luxury. In fact, the first thing I say to customers is that I hope they are using the pieces often. Most reply that they are, in fact, using them daily, and that makes me happy! We have several colors that work well for Valentine’s Day gifts, including red, of course, along with fuchsia, rose, blush pink, and an unexpected lavender.
