Look for the brand to debut its first lifestyle collection incorporating its sculpting know-how this fall

Before moving to Charleston at the beginning of the pandemic and then cofounding sculpting swimsuit brand Stylest, the former fashion editor started her career at Vanity Fair and Elle. Her resume also includes a stint as chief style director for Ann Inc., the umbrella company for Loft and Ann Taylor, honing her skill for mixing high-end and lower-priced pieces to create chic looks. In addition to Stylest, the mother of a two-year-old uses her eye for design to renovate homes. This fall, the swimsuit brand will debut its first lifestyle collection, bringing its sculpting know-how to your everyday wardrobe. Here, Yahia-Bosworth shares how she wears her Stylest swimsuit and her beach bag must-haves.

Q What’s in your virtual shopping cart that you hope to purchase soon?
A
Oh, too many to list. I have no less than 756 tabs open at any given time on my laptop and am always “looking.” My shopping cart is a mix of home, things for my daughter, beauty products I saw on IG, and cute clothes I like for my husband. Right now, I am eyeing these cool Mother jeans (above, available at Saks Fifth Avenue) my friend wore to a party the other night.

Q How do you wear your Stylest swimsuit?
A
My style trick is pairing a sculpting belt with one of our solid DreamSculpt bodysuits (above) or Square Neck Tanks. It instantly turns any suit into a chic outfit. You’ll also see me around town wearing our Square Neck Tank as the perfect sculpting top with a printed skirt.

Q What’s always in your beach bag?
A
With a two-year-old in tow, what isn’t is probably a better question. My phone, a cool sunscreen sponge applicator I found to easily reapply to a busy toddler, my favorite Saint Laurent sunglasses, Megababe “Body Dust” (a line designed by my good friend Katie Sturino), Patrick Ta lip gloss (above) to plump and hydrate, and a few dozen yogurt pouches and goldfish.

Q What’s your ideal way to spend a summer day in Charleston, and what would you wear?
A
I’d go to brunch at 167 Raw and have a shopping day. Summer is all about comfort in the heat! I often wear dressy shorts instead of skirts. These from Veronica Beard (above) have a wide belt, and I’ll wear them with a fitted chic white T-shirt or menswear oxford and heeled sandals. It’s the perfect balance of looking pulled together without being too dressy.

Q What are your favorite local stores to shop?
A
I love home and garden stores for chic gifts. When Jamie and I got engaged, we went to the most amazing hotel in Rome called Singer Palace Hotel, and this Ortigia scent (above, available at Elizabeth Stuart) was everywhere. We’ve adopted it as our home scent, and the palmetto design reminds me of Charleston, making it the best housewarming gift.
