During the Charleston Horticultural Society’s annual fall tour, explore eight eclectic private gardens in James Island’s historical Riverland Terrace Estates neighborhood. Locations vary. Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. $40; $35 member.

Perhaps you’ve seen him on the small screen, hosting the Emmy Award-winning public television series Growing a Greener World—all about fascinating folks who are making a difference through organic gardening, green living, and farm-to-table food. Now, catch Joe Lamp’l in person as he shares favorite stories from 10 seasons of filming. The Charleston Museum, 360 Meeting St. Monday, 6:30 p.m. $10; free for member.
