August 2019

What's happening this month

TIP: Get your greens in! Collards and cabbage can be planted in early August, and kale, mustard, and lettuce beginning mid-month. Low on space? Plug these fall crops into spots where you’ve removed plants from the summer garden, or place them at the edges of tomato and pepper beds (the taller plants will offer shade as they complete their growing season).
