Stylist Erica Hanks opened her Showroom pop-up in Freshfields Village during the PGA Championship in 2021, catering to women looking to elevate their styles from pandemic loungewear. Three years later, Hanks has nurtured a loyal clientele for her well-curated selection of designer clothing and accessories. Think Argent, Cara Cara, Dorothee Schumacher, La Ligne, Staud, Rachel Comey, and Citizens of Humanity. In May, Showroom debuted an expanded space with double the square footage, 65 feet of window displays, and an eye-catching flower basket installation by CC Bloom hung from the ceiling. The jewelry collection known for its bold, gold palmetto bug earrings has graduated to its own storefront on Spring Street. Sisters Mariana “Mini” Hay Avant and Kathleen Hay Hagood, the fourth generation of the family behind Crogan’s Jewel Box, introduced the whimsical-meets-classic costume jewelry line in 2014. Since then, the brand has expanded to include necklaces, bracelets, and earrings adorned with bees, peanuts, pups, okra pods, and engravable discs. Rag & Bone is bringing its edgy, New York styles to South Carolina, is opening its first store in the state on King Street in later this month as part of the retailer’s expansion into the South. The brand, best known for its denim for men and women, also offers other laid-back apparel, shoes, handbags, sunglasses, and accessories. Launched in 2002, Rag & Bone has 34 stores, including in Charlotte, Atlanta, and Nashville. In April, the brand was acquired by Guess Inc. [363 King St., Ste. A, rag-bone.com]

Local stylist Andrea Serrano has launched a collaboration with New York-based handbag brand Dear Finelli, featuring two day-to-evening styles made of vegan leather and recycled plastic. The cross-body bags, which are available in “Golden Sand” and “Ocean Blue,” can be purchased locally at Maris DeHart or through Dear Finelli’s website. A portion of the proceeds will go to Colombian-based nonprofit Eco Pazifico, which works to protect the coast and ocean from plastic pollution. [dearfinelli.com]
