Cannonborough Beverage Co. owners Matthew Fendley, Brandon Wogamon, and Mick Matricciano man their Charleston Farmers Market stand each Saturday.

Blended with lime juice, vanilla bean, and blueberries from friend Ted Hammett’s farm in Inman, South Carolina, this refreshing soda is great on its own or as a mixer in a summer cocktail. “It’s made with fresh fruit, so it’s the perfect seasonal drink,” says Mick Matricciano, who alongside his co-owners, Brandon Wogamon, and Matthew Fendley, started Cannonborough Beverage Co. a year ago after noticing a lack in drink options at the farmers market. And while they all have side jobs—Matricciano works at The Ordinary, Fendley at Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Wogamon at Andolini’s—to help pay the rent, they might not for long, as thirsty citizens have embraced their creative blends, which include pineapple sage, honey basil, and spiced cranberry. Now they even sell growlers ($14) that regulars can bring to the market each Saturday for refills ($10). As for our very own specialty flavor, it’s available now, but only for a short time, so stop by soon and ask for the Charleston Blueberry Vanilla Soda.
