It’s Good to be King

After launching their online women’s clothing site, Mulberry & King, in 2016, Meredith Murphy and Megan Masters have opened a brick-and-mortar boutique in Mount Pleasant to show off their curated selection of bright and breezy dresses, separates, jewelry, and shoes. Over the past four years, Mulberry & King has gained a following for its trendy and affordable styles that can take you from brunch to the beach. The cheery space is opening with limited hours (Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) so shoppers can receive personalized attention. [1223 Ben Sawyer Blvd., Mount Pleasant, mulberryandking.com]

Shop Hop

Women’s boutique Julep has a new home on 57 Queen Street after moving from its former location on King Street, where mother and daughter duo Barbara and Corinn Griesedieck opened the doors in 2016. Expect the new space to have a sophisticated mid-century modern feel to match the mahogany-paneled walls and pink marble floors. There’s also a courtyard, where the pair plans to host trunk shows and other events. This spring, look for dresses and accessories, including kaftans and embroidered bags, in vibrant prints and bright colors. [57 Queen St.,

Perfect Pair

Julia Engel, the Charleston-based fashion blogger behind Gal Meets Glam, has been a fan of New York-based Margaux’s stylish yet comfortable shoes since she first stepped into their ballet flats. The two brands debuted their first shoe collaboration in September 2019, saying the partnership ”effortlessly combines Margaux’s timeless aesthetic and fit-focused design with Gal Meets Glam’s feminine flair and affinity for unique details.” This month, Gal Meets Glam and Margaux unveil their second shoe collection with three classic spring styles—mules, espadrilles, and pointed flats—available exclusively on Margaux’s website.
