Q What are you working on?
A I have a few big projects coming up, including a collaboration with Brandless, an online grocery store that sells organic, non-GMO food products—plus a slew of other things like cookware and toiletries—for only $3 per item.
Q What’s contributed to your success as an entrepreneur?
A Enjoying the sound of my feet walking away from an opportunity that wasn’t meant for me. It’s easy to feel we have to grab everything that comes our way, but that’s how we become burnt out.
Q Your skin is luminous—what’s your secret?
A Drinking lots of water and minding my business. Trust me; it works! If you’re looking for something to purchase, I recommend Germain Dermatology Gentle Skin Cleanser and Glossier Super Glow serum.
Q Favorite fall/winter collection?
A Pyer Moss [whose silk dress is above]. He’s just a favorite in general. He uses his voice in fashion to create collections based on heritage and activism in the black community.
Q Must-have beauty products?
A Anything brow-related. I like Glossier Boy Brow in black, MAC Brow Sculpt in “spiked,” and Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade in “chocolate” [above].
Q How do you stay fit?
A I take yoga at Still Soul Studio, train at Exemplar Fitness, and go to HIIT classes at Fit Culture. Food-wise, drinking at least two Eternal Juices a day keeps me balanced.
Q When clothing shopping, what do you look for?
A Staples. For me, those are high-waisted jeans (like Abercrombie & Fitch’s “High-Rise Ankle” style), a white button-down, and a dainty gold necklace, plus heels or sneakers (like Tretorns).
