Pack Like a Pro: Kenny Flowers’ Christina Haisfield Reveals Her Summer Vacation Checklist
June 2026

Christina Haisfield

“They say to ‘dress for the job you want,’” muses the world traveler behind Jetset Christina. “I usually dress for the weather I want.” That translates to breezy dresses that can transition from a beach day to an alfresco dinner, whether she is home or at a resort. The California native moved to Charleston in 2021, and two years later, she and her husband, the founder of resort wear brand Kenny Flowers, opened a flagship King Street store. Haisfield has helped expand the line to include women’s and children’s collections. Most recently, she launched a luxury travel agency to help others book their dream vacations. Here, Haisfield shares what she’s packing for her summer travels.

Q: What’s in your beach bag?

A: Kandeo tinted “Sun Drops” with mineral SPF 50 (left), which is a local business and the absolute best face SPF, a Eugenia Kim hat (right), sunscreen and snacks for my toddlers, a good beach read, and maybe some rosé in a Yeti. The Kandeo “Sun Drops” give that perfect just-back-from-the-beach glow.

Q: Tell us about your summer travel plans and what you’re packing.

A: We’re planning a Spain and Mallorca adventure, as well as a stretch in California to spend time with my family. I’m packing pieces from our Spain-inspired “Valencia” and “Mallorca” collections, of course!

Q: What are some of your favorite local stores?

A: Charleston has the best local businesses, and there are so many I love: Sun Vow Jewelry’s “Reef” earrings are part of a collab with Kenny Flowers; also Rene Barnes, Lowcountry Littles, Pitt Street Kids, and Haley Mathewes Art. I pop into Nellie & Lo in Mount Pleasant for hostess gifts, such candles, napkins, or cute dinnerware.

Q: What’s your favorite way to spend a summer day in Charleston and what will you wear?

A: We are at the beach every second we can get there. I’ll throw on a bikini under our “Riviera” tunic, a hat, and sandals. Easy, breezy, exactly the way summer in the Lowcountry should feel.

Q: How would you describe your style aesthetic?

A: Resort-ready; I like clothes that are pretty, comfortable, high-quality, and fun! I love color; I have trouble dressing in winter. Kenny Flowers shapes a huge part of my closet, and I love mixing our pieces with beautiful jewelry and accessories, such as this Jennifer Behr x Julia Berolzheimer “Malta” necklace (above) and Beek “Palila” sandals.

Q: What must-haves are always in your carry-on bag?

A: Noise-canceling headphones, plus the AirFly Pro by Charleston-based Twelve South. The AirFly connects my AirPods to the in-flight TV, which is so genius. Plus, a good attitude—travel days can be stressful, especially with toddlers in tow, but I really try to stay focused on how excited I am to get where we’re going. My little ones feed off of that positive energy, and it makes the whole day so much better!
