Sample nearly 200 varieties of bourbon and whiskeys and gastronomical cocktails

Paddock & Whisky

Bourbon runs through the veins of this Park Circle restaurant, the 1,600-square-foot sister location to the popular and petite original bar on James Island. Opened in October 2021, the former bank building on Montague Avenue lives large with exposed brick and tall ceilings accommodating two library ladders required to reach any of the nearly 200 bottles of bourbon and whiskeys on hand, plus a private tasting room in a converted vault. Hit the 48-foot bar to sample gastronomic cocktails, such as the brilliant orange “RX Bandit,” made with Monkey Shoulder Scotch and carbonated carrot juice, or “A Foolish Pleasure,” concocted with a cheddar-washed gin and grape soda and topped with egg foam. Lunch, dinner, and late-night menus are greatly expanded from the original locale, with shareable plates such as buttery, broiled oysters and a Wagyu tartare served with fried saltines and a confit egg yolk, plus familiar dinner staples like burgers and fries, herbed chicken thighs with mixed greens, and a New York strip served with chimichurri. paddockandwhisky.com
