Last summer, an 18K-gold pendant from Temple St. Clair’s renowned Celestial collection was added to the permanent collection of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at the Louvre in Paris. And in 2016, the luxury jewelry maker was awarded the industry’s highest honor: the GEM Award for Jewelry Design. So when we say that St. Clair—whose work is sold at Croghan’s Jewel Box—is speaking at the Charleston Library Society on October 5, from 6 to 7 p.m., we mean: do not miss this event. Revealing Information

If you’ve already become a regular at Jahde Leather Atelier’s Fridays at Five Sip & Shops, this isn’t news to you, but on October 6 (from 5 to 8 p.m.), the Queen Street shop officially debuts with a Collection Reveal Party. View the first solo line from Andy Jahde, who handcrafts leather jewelry and accessories using materials sourced from the United States. Educated in interior architecture and product design, with training and apprenticeships in shoe-making, Jahde also founded AjFd Jewelry two years ago with local glass bead-maker Felice Killian—their collaborative collection is sold at Jahde, too. Colur Your World

The Hyatt Hotel Midtown complex is the place to go for getting gorgeous: In September, Colur Studios’ flagship shop opened next to Drybar, offering makeup artistry services, LED light therapy facials, lash applications, and more. Formality, with Flavor

The blessed ”R” months have returned, and with them came the launch of a new accessory: the oyster bow tie. On September 28, Boysterous Southern Couture opened for online business, offering ties hand-crafted from oyster shells stitched to leather neck straps. Nicholas Overstreet dreamed up the idea after—you guessed it—a really great roast, and set to work designing and creating. “Our team considers every bow tie a work of art,” notes Overstreet. boysterous.co
