The latest news in fashion and shopping around Charleston

A look inside the Cigar Factory’s new Circle Seven Outpost & Provisions

Insta Update

If you haven’t been shopping Mulberry & King, now’s the time to start! Megan Masters and Meredith Murphy established the online store a year ago, purveying a colorful array of womenswear—think embroidered rompers, off-the-shoulder tops, and colorful dresses—as well as shoes and jewelry. Initially, the best way to buy was via Instagram, with customers commenting ”sold” on photos of new items (you can also shop the website, but pieces sell out fast). However, clients can now make an appointment online to visit Mulberry & King’s new studio, getting first dibs on items and taking advantage of one-on-one styling services. 1470 Ben Sawyer Blvd., Mount Pleasant; https://mulberryandking.com/

Good Sports

Ready your wardrobe for autumn adventures at Circle Seven Outpost and Provisions, which settled into the Cigar Factory in June. The second location for the Madison, Mississippi-born sporting outfitter is connected via catwalk to an event space within Garden & Gun headquarters, and the companies plan to collaborate on workshops, tastings, trunk shows, and more. ”Charleston is a destination, and we hope Circle Seven will become one as well,” notes owner Will Pace, who stocks apparel, leather goods, and collectible shotguns from high-end lines like Purdey, William & Son, Orvis, Sitka Gear, and Dubarry of Ireland. 701 East Bay St., Ste. 112; https://circle7online.com/

Fresh Fashion

Young, trendy, and wallet-friendly: the regional answer to the likes of H&M and Forever 21, Dress Up opened a shop in Charleston this summer. It’s the 19th location for the company—founded by Derrick and Danielle Case in Dahlonega, Georgia—that promises more than 65 new arrivals each week—from flowy dresses to ripped-up denim, lace skirts to floral-print kimonos. 320 King St., https://shopdressup.com/

Three’s a Charm

A couple favorite local retailers expanded their operations this summer. Upscale children’s boutique Sugar Snap Pea opened in Kiawah Island’s Freshfields Village (its sister stores are downtown and in Mount Pleasant). And as of press time, surf shop Las Olas’s third outpost was aiming to open in Mount Pleasant Towne Centre by early August. 624 Freshfields Dr., John’s Island; sugarsnappea.com & 1608 Palmetto Grande Dr., Mount Pleasant; https://www.lasolascharleston.com/collections/all
