Ten-year-old sharpshooter William “Bee” Vardell snagged these turkeys—both with one shot, no less—on the grounds of Dean Hall Plantation in 1933. While we’re not sure what month this photo was taken, the large toms would surely be a welcome sight for the Thanksgiving table.
