Charleston Honey & Bee Expo

The whole family can learn about helping to save the bees at this eighth annual event. Check out observation hives, hear from guest speakers, and shop tasty goods from local beekeepers. Kids can dive into craft projects (and honey cotton candy), while adults groove to live tunes from The V-Tones of Charleston. Cinebarre, 963 Houston Northcutt Blvd., Mount Pleasant. Charleston Horticultural Society’s plant sale extravaganza kicks off with Friday’s Plantasia Eve Party, when guests can shop while enjoying live entertainment, food, and wine. Old Towne Creek County Park, 1400 Old Towne Rd. Friday: 5:30-8 p.m. $60; $50 member. Saturday: 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Free.

Plants for the Earth

This Earth Day event from Clemson Extension and the Tri-County Master Gardeners offers a plant sale, plus lectures on inspiring topics like “A Year of Flowers: Selecting Plants for 12 Months of Blooms.” Clemson Coastal Research & Education Center, 2700 Savannah Hwy.
