THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL: The intensely red peonies and roses of Ashley’s bouquet by Eventa Bella Charleston saturated her walk down the aisle with color.
OLD SOULS: The couple share a self-professed “deep love and appreciation for ‘the way things used to be,’” says Ashley. Everything from the bride’s gown (circa 1935) to the cream-colored getaway Chevy (circa 1939) reflected their penchant for the past.
GLITZ & GLAMOUR: Long tables created an at-home feeling amidst the extravagant décor and lush setting, resplendent with flower boxes that spilled forth Asiatic lilies, cabbage roses, hydrangeas, and hypericum berries.
ROSES ARE RED: To top the immense fireplace mantel, John and his mom built flower boxes, which were “planted” with wheatgrass that sprouted crimson topiaries.
