HELLO THERE: Guests were greeted with ceremony programs printed by Studio R.
LI GHTEN UP: Candles glowed from glass vessels for a clean, classic effect.
WELL PLACED: Cobalt and pewter-colored linens from EventWorks dressed the square reception tables. For centerpieces, Judy Johnston of Engaging Events submerged orchids in tall glass vases.
MAKE ROOM: Too create a spacious lounge area and dance floor, Engaging Events attached an open gable tent from Atlantic Rentals to the reception tent already provided by the Island House.
SMELL SOFTLY: The couple took guests’ (and Joseph’s!) allergies into consideration and chose scentless or nearly scentless blooms.
CHEERS: The tiered beverage display featured the “sea oats” motif and was topped with fresh flora.
WIDE OPEN SPACES: “The beauty of the Island House pretty much dictated the design of the wedding,” says Kiosha. “We wanted everything to be very open in order to celebrate the land and the river views.”
WALK THIS WAY: “We both knew early into our relationship that we had found ‘the one,’” says the bride. “We ate dinner together every evening and openly talked about our faith and our dreams for the future,” she says of their courtship.
TREASURE BOX: Despite its classic façade, the Elaine Mincey confection was cookies n’ cream flavored.
AND THAT’S THAT: On the evening’s most memorable moment, says Kiosha. “The feeling that we achieved our dream of celebrating our love and commitment in a way that truly reflected us as a couple.”
ISLAND ESCAPE: The newlyweds continued their Lowcountry celebration with a four-night honeymoon on Kiawah and Fripp Islands.
