The Party: Mocktail lovers gathered downtown at The Cocktail Club for an evening soirée benefiting Ben’s Friends, a nonprofit that supports F&B professionals dealing with addiction and substance abuse. The evening featured six local bartenders—including The Dewberry’s Kate Proudy and Kyle DeGolyer of Bar Mash—competing to create the best zero-proof cocktail, as well as bites from Mercantile and Mash. The winning drink, made by Nolan Kennedy, was the “Quit of a Dirty Scoundrel” made with Lady Grey black tea, agave, lemon juice, OJ, ginger, and anise.
