Reading Rainbow - For this small library, Cortney Bishop designed floor-to-ceiling shelves and built-in window seats and had them painted a shade of blue that matches the deep waters of the sea. Now filled with the homeowners’ books, family photos, artwork, and other keepsakes, it has become one of the couple’s favorite spaces. For this cozy-meetsmasculine space, interior designer Cortney Bishop covered the walls in Phillip Jeffries’s “Manila Hemp” paper in “charcoal” and had the Hickory Chair sofa upholstered in an emerald-green velvet by Ralph Lauren. Over the fireplace, an abstract work by Frank P. Phillips adds a sunny pop of color.
