The Party: Attendees of the fifth annual Pedal & Panache, hosted by Charleston Moves—a nonprofit that motivates citizens to use alternate forms of transportation such as biking, walking, and taking public transportation—were encouraged to leave their cars at home and find a different mode of transit to Cannon Green. Once there, guests moved to the music of The Black Diamond Band as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres as well as an open bar stocked with beer from Tradesman Brewing Co., wine from Advintage Distribution, and Moscow Mule cocktails made by The Rarebit. The fun continued with live and silent auctions as well as a boomerang photo booth.
Highlight: The announcement that the Ashley River bike and pedestrian bridge was funded
Overheard: “I’m so excited to run the bridge when it gets built!”
Beneficiary: Charleston Moves
