The Party: For the first time since March 2019, the American Lung Association (ALA) in Charleston hosted its “Lowcountry Dancing with the Stars” Oxygen Ball at the Gaillard Center. Well-dressed patrons perused silent auction offerings from a variety of local businesses, including Estelle Colored Glass, Brackish, and Taxidermy, as well as destination trips and art pieces. After a three-course dinner, five local celebrities—including Bay Street Biergarten owner Laura Patrick and Stryke Fitness’s Erin Mansour—performed energetic dances with their pro Dance Lab partners. Proceeds raised support the mission of the ALA through health education, advocacy, and research.
