The densely wooded lot posed a challenge that Cumulus Architecture & Design overcame by fitting the home in the spaces between, creating a tree house-like feel and softening the volume of the 5,500-square-foot home.

Walls of glass frame the view from the living room, which features a Verellen “Gregoire” sectional and swivel chairs arranged around the reeded marble fireplace. Washed poplar on the ceiling adds warmth.
A cluster of nine “Kute” pendants from Atmosphere D’Ailleurs drifts above a custom white oak table, paired with sculptural A. Rudin chairs. Beyond, a marble-topped island anchors the kitchen beneath a hand-troweled plaster hood and Visual Comfort “Precision” pendants.

The screened porch is an extension of the main living space, with a Palecek “Wisteria” chandelier suspended above an Urbanspace Interiors dining table and Janus Et Cie “Anatra” armchairs. A hand-stacked oyster shell fireplace anchors the room.
The primary suite is wrapped in soft, muted tones. A Verellen “Hayden” bed covered in Holly Hunt “Pharaoh Morning Light” fabric pairs with Jacob Cooley’s Curving Marsh 2022 oil painting overhead. Japanese paper weave wallpaper and a Marl Moroccan wool rug from Design Within Reach layer texture.
