The Party: This year, the Gaillard was adorned in funky Alice In Wonderland-esque décor for the annual Heart Ball with the theme Through the Looking Glass. Guests were dressed to the nines as they danced, mingled, and sipped cocktails before the seated gourmet dinner of braised beef short rib and poached salmon prepared by Mosaic Catering. Throughout the night, attendees bid on the silent and live auction items including a trip to Tuscany, a two-night at The Cottages on Charleston Harbor, and a 14K white gold sapphire ring. Proceeds from the event benefitted the American Heart Association, which funds research and helps to shape health policies in regards to heart disease and stroke.
