LOWCOUNTRY LEGENDS FEATURING QUIANA PARLER

Join two-time Grammy Award-winning artist Quiana Parler and the North Charleston Pops orchestra for an evening celebrating the Lowcountry’s rich musical heritage. The program ranges from gospel and Gullah to jazz and blues, featuring “God Bless the Child” and “Amazing Grace,” as well as pieces from Porgy and Bess. Saxophonist Kevin Patton will premiere a new symphony work, joined by those of African American composers Florence Price, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, and Scott Joplin.
