If the Christmas tree at home doesn’t have you feeling the holiday spirit, head to Boone Hall Plantation, bedecked in seasonal decorations. The mansion’s decor is eco-friendly to boot, with ornaments made from sweetgrass, cotton, and berries—all materials grown on the plantation. Wreaths made from magnolia leaves hang from the exterior doors and windows, and the front entrance is even decorated with real fruit arrangements—but do resist taking a bite out of those jolly baubles. Boone Hall Plantation, 1235 Long Point Rd., Mount Pleasant.
