Since receiving his first camera through the kindness of a high school teacher, photographer John Galgano has shaped his career around paying it forward. Now battling cancer, he aims for his current work––sweeping nature scenes and thoughtful portraits––to inspire others to live life to the fullest, even in the face of hardship. Saul Alexander Gallery, 68 Calhoun St. Monday-Thursday, 9am-8pm; Friday & Saturday, 9am-6pm; Sunday 2-5pm. Free. (843)805-6930, www.ccpl.org
