The second iteration of this wide-ranging fest kicked off in September and continues this month with a variety of exhibits and art-centric events. Vik Hart’s first solo show, “Stories from Firn,” is on exhibit at Beresford Studios until October 15 (Hart’s Descension is at right), and at The Southern, “New Painting” features works by Adam Eddy, Susan Klein, Colin Quashie, and more through November 15. October 5 brings Pecha Kucha 27 to the Charleston Music Hall, with local artists giving short but insightful presentations. And on October 28, the festival’s finale, Halloween at The Royal American, includes musical headliners Brave Baby and Beach Tiger and a performance by DanceLab. Locations, times, & prices vary. www.charlestonartsfestival.com
