DIG SOUTH kicks off next Wednesday—make your festival schedule using our personality-based guide



The DIG SOUTH festival celebrating innovation and the digital economy returns April 9-13. It’s bringing top presenters, networking opportunities, and even a hackathon, but you don’t have to be a Silicon Harbor whiz to get in on the action. SOCIAL BUTTERFLY
Don’t know what JavaScript is but want to join the party?

Space Walk
Wednesday, 4-6 p.m.
Local technology and creative companies, organizations, and nonprofits open up their workspaces and invite visitors in for casual meet-and-greets.

DIG Music Series
Wednesday-Saturday, times vary
Enjoy performances throughout the week, including shows by Mechanical River with Grace Joyner and Johnny Delaware on Wednesday, The Lone Bellow with Jordan Igoe on Thursday, and a DJ and silent disco on Friday.

Halsey Microcinema
Wednesday-Saturday, all day
Stop into the Halsey Institute’s 34-seat, street-side cinema to catch a series of digital shorts playing continuously. There’s popcorn, too!

Culturama
Saturday, 4 p.m.-midnight
Hosted by Holy City Beard and Mustache Society’s Paul Roof, this finale starts with the free Digathalon “geek battles” (teams face off on vintage arcade games and more). Then party the night away with a concert featuring HoneySmoke and Logan Venderlic opening for Natural Child.

First, watch grad and undergrad students pitch their business plans, products, and services for the chance to win cash, investment capital, mentorships, and more. Then, startups take the stage to sell their ideas to accredited investors in front of a live audience. Open to Conference-goers with limited seats available to the general public.
