These hair accessories don’t have to be intimidating—get tips on tying ’em on from area stylists

Meg Ann Workman, hair & Makeup stylist
“More women should adorn their heads; it makes a powerful statement. Try shopping a local thrift or vintage store for designer silk scarves. With my hair down, I’ll  wear mine tied in a big bow at the top of my head; with hair up, I turn the bow to the bottom. I also love spacing four or five knots out around the scarf and wearing it like a ’flower crown.‘”

Kalena Doo, Hair stylist, Stella Nova
“I love this trend; it’s versatile and can work from day to night. I like to tie a longer scarf into a top knot and then tuck in the ends. For shorter scarves, you can try leaving the ends hanging out. Just don’t do the skullcap look—unless you’re on the back of a Harley.”
