At 85 years old, this three-time Grammy-winning vocalist rose to fame as a member of The Staple Singers, recorded the hit singles “I’ll Take You There” and “Let’s Do It Again.” A prominent voice during the civil rights movement, Staples has since been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and Blues Hall of Fame.
