JUNETEENTH FAMILY FEST

This day-long extravaganza hosted at Riverfront Park commemorates the freeing of all enslaved individuals in the US. Enjoy an afternoon steeped in African American culture featuring storytelling, dance, theater, and music. Families can peruse local community service vendors, including historical Black colleges and universities, participate in children’s activities, see art displays from prominent and upcoming Black creatives, and purchase locally made Gullah Geechee food, before ending the evening with a fireworks finale. Riverfront Park, 1061 Everglades Ave., North Charleston.
