Those with little ones needing to escape the confines of their homes are welcome to go to Magnolia Plantation, where they are currently offering free admission on Wednesdays and Thursdays to families with children (proof of residency in the tri-county area required). America’s oldest garden may be suspending their tours, but they still have various other attractions, most notably children’s garden, which features an assortment of fairy houses scattered about the trees. Many of the flowers are in bloom at Magnolia currently, so even if you don’t have any kiddos to reap the benefit of a free ticket, visit the historic gardens and make a picnic for yourself among the lush greenery (six feet away from other, though, please). Magnolia Plantation, 3550 Ashley River Rd. Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Free for families with children (with proof of residency) Wednesday & Thursday; $20 adult & $10 child six to 12 other days.
