Q What’s your makeup must-have?
A
Tinted Germain Dermatology SPF sunscreen. I can use it on my face as a light base and know it is protecting me from the sun at the same time.

Q  Tell us about your Spring/Summer 2016 collection.
A
It was inspired by the Korakia Pensione hotel in Palm Springs, California, which was built in the 1920s and has a legendary history. Leafy palms and hot-pink bougainvilleas line the walkways there, and you’ll notice them reflected in the collection.

Q What about this year’s Charleston Fashion Week® has you most excited?
A
Watching the finalists in the Emerging Designer: East competition. It’s very exciting to see their creative expression—particularly because their visions are, for the most part, still very true to who they are.

Q What’s your favorite thing about Charleston in the spring?
A
When the days get long enough to take the boat out after work.

Q Where will you  be getting away to next?
A
My husband, our two-year-old twins, and I are due for a ski trip to Park City soon, and a girls’ getaway to the Caribbean is in the works for mid-summer.

Q What wardrobe items are on your wish list this season?
A
More shoes by one of my favorite designers, Isabel Marant. For spring 2016, she has some corded wrap heels called “Macylli” and tie-up gladiator “Astrid” sandals that are amazing.
