Festival of Houses & Gardens - Throughout April

Historic Charleston Foundation has updated its traditional fundraiser with an innovative 2021 event lineup that extends well beyond April. Glorious Gardens tours run through May 21 and both virtual and in-person Food for Thought lectures through April 16. On April 1, a First Thursday Gullah Spirituals program debuts, and a series of Morning History Walks extends through August. Locations, times, & prices vary. historiccharleston.org

Spirit of Plantasia - April 1-29

This year, the Charleston Horticultural Society’s annual plant sale is an online affair, and it’s accompanied by outdoor, socially distanced events on Thursdays and Sundays throughout the month. For example, check out Small Space Design Forums in a gorgeous South Battery landscape, a Spring by the Sea Garden Tour, and a veggie-growing class with Rita’s Roots at Tradesman Brewing.
