Fat Ham

Pure Theatre launches its season with the South Carolina premiere of Fat Ham, the winner of the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Best Drama. The play by James Ijames is a modern retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet and follows Juicy, a queer Southern college student, as he deals with the ghost of his murdered father, who appears at a family barbecue to demand revenge for his death.
