Directed by PURE Theatre cofounder Sharon Graci, this Southern Gothic play follows struggling guitarist Johnny “Honeycomb” James after he returns to his sleepy hometown in rural Georgia. The performance is inspired by the legend of blues musician Robert Johnson, who reportedly sold his soul to the devil in exchange for musical prowess.
