The city hosts its 50th annual Martin Luther King celebration, the largest of its kind in South Carolina. The 18-day event kicks off with worship services across the tri-county area to honor Dr. King, and includes the MLK Day Parade (1/17) and an MLK summit (1/13) with keynote speaker William E.
