CSO MASTERWORKS: BEETHOVEN & TCHAIKOVSKY

West Ashley celloist-turned-maestro Jonathon Heyward returns to the Lowcountry to lead the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. This spring, Heyward will become the first person of color appointed musical director of the century-old Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. Accompanied by violinist Vadim Gluzman, the program includes Florence Price’s Dances in the Canebrakes, Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor. Charleston Gaillard Center, 95 Calhoun St. Thursday & Saturday, 7:30pm. $92-$29.
