simple solutions: Jenny gave the formerly yellow-gold walls in the kitchen a clean whitewash, replaced laminate countertops with sturdy Carrara marble, added white subway tiles, and updated the appliances.
old meets new: With the help of interior stylist Nathalie Naylor, Jenny outfitted the living room with a sofa and pair of taupe chairs from Celadon, a coffee table recycled from the old house, and a pair of wooden armchairs re-covered in a fresh coral-patterned fabric.
Fresh air: The rear courtyard with the family’s black lab, Julius.
room service: A petite sitting room just inside the front door functions as a den. The sofa was re-covered with a no-fuss chocolate-hued slipcover, the table is from GDC, and the oyster shell chandelier was reused from Jenny’s old house.

The master bedroom, furnished with a pair of lamps from Celadon, a deerskin rug from the boys’ hunting collection, and an upholstered khaki headboard from GDC.
Color Scheme: Nathalie (left) and Jenny relax on the front porch, where they reused Jenny’s outdoor furniture from her old house and simply added orange accent pillows from Carolina Pottery to freshen it up. “When I bought the house, the shutters were bright turquoise,” says Jenny. “We painted them Charleston Green, which is more my style.”
