Be transported to the streets of Italy as the Charleston Symphony Orchestra presents a selection of the country's music, both old and new. The CSO offers a sweeping performance that explores Italy's rich musical tradition, covering everything from classic opera pieces from Aida, La Boheme to familiar, crown-pleasing tunes like "That's Amore." Conducted by Yuriy Bekker and featuring soloists Maria Antunes and Martin Nusspaumer, the concert will inspire visions of a European getaway and perhaps a craving for spaghetti and a glass of vino. Gaillard Center, 95 Calhoun St. Friday, 7:30-9:30pm. $85-$27. (843)723-7528, charlestonsymphony.org
