Celebrate Black History month with Fresh Future Farm, North Charleston's premier urban farm empowering folks in its surrounding neighborhoods to live and eat better. A unique farm-to-table meal, "Black History in the Macon" marks the farm's first fundraising effort of 2018. CEO Germaine Jenkins and farm manager LaToya Clement take guests on a tour and educate on the history of the Chicora-Cherokee community the farm serves. Using Fresh Future Farm's own produce, Chef BJ Dennis serves up delicious Gullah cuisine while acclaimed gospel vocalist Ann Caldwell lends her voice for a mini jazz concert. Wine beer, and special herb-based beverages are also included with the price of admission. Fresh Future Farm, 2008 Success St., North Charleston. Sunday, 2-5pm. $80. (843)804-9091, freshfuturefarm.org
