ART CHARLESTON

Experience a five-day visual arts extravaganza with signature events, artist lectures, panel discussions, gallery walks, and professional workshops. Set in the museum’s European-style Lenhardt Garden, Art of Design (4/24) invites guests to participate in a multiple-course lunch accompanied by wine pairings and a discussion with this year’s keynote speaker, Hannah Cecil Gurney, director of wallpaper company de Gournay. On Thursday, get a sample from some of downtown Charleston’s most renowned restaurants with just one ticket during Gibbes on the Street (4/25), which also includes live entertainment and an open bar. Indulge in Freshly Foraged Dinner (4/26), a four-course dining experience hosted by historian and author Kevin Mitchell that teaches the importance of farm-to-table, sustainability, and the sense of community fostered by sharing meals. Later, shop a curated selection of vendors selling handmade art, home goods, and more during the second annual Artisan Fair (4/28). Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Dates, times, & prices vary.
