Christine’s bouquet set the tone for a sea of white flowers that decorated both the synagogue and reception.

In Jewish wedding ceremonies, it’s customary for the bride and the groom to be escorted to the altar by their parents, like Eric was here.

Candlelight filled the beautiful Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim synagogue, home to the fourth oldest Jewish congregation in the United States. The custom-made copper-colored chuppah bore a pale blue “ceiling.”

While Christine donned her Monique Lhuillier gown, Eric sent her a special delivery—a diamond bracelet for her “something new” along with a heartfelt note about his excitement about their wedding day. Her “something old” was Eric’s grandmother’s diamond solitaire ring, which Christine wore on her right hand.

Eric and Christine signed this ketubah, a traditional Jewish marriage contract, which will hang in their home.

“The day we tasted cakes was one of the best times we had planning,” Christine says. Designer Jim Smeal modeled the lacy floral patterns after Christine’s dress and kept the fondant- and buttercream-covered cakes true to the wedding’s palette. Throughout the reception, curtains of orchids swayed in the night breezes.
