”INTERWOVEN: THE ART OF INDIGO & SILVER”

”Interwoven” brings together three of Charleston’s most treasured contemporary artists to examine the link between the Lowcountry’s past and present, preserving and celebrating the area’s traditional artistic mediums. Photographer Jack Alterman, silversmith Kaminer Haislip, and textile designer Leigh Magar offer unique works inspired by indigo and silver: materials that played a vital role in the history of Holy City craftsmanship. Curated by Brandy S. Culp, the exhibit features more than 60 precious objects, from both independent artistry and collaborative efforts, including silver hollowware, flatware, and jewelry; distinctive photographs; indigo-dyed textiles; and more. City Gallery, 34 Prioleau St. Tuesday-Friday, 11am-6pm; Saturday & Sunday, noon-5pm. Free. (843)958-6484, www.citygallerywaterfrontpark.com
