“I like a low, casually styled, loose ponytail that‘s more slicked back on top. Besides being relatively low maintenance, it is sleek and chic for a laid-back but still groomed look.”

Charlotte Belk, owner of Elysium Salon
“For the look pictured here, form a deep side part. Use a pomade to hold the style and create the shiny look. Make a very low pony, keeping it loose through the mid section. Wrap hair with a band, then place hair accessory on top. You can tease the pony or add a textured curl with an iron. Finish with hair spray.”

Jen Mathes, master stylist at stella nova
“In general, this season is all about imperfection. Loose, low, wavy, and natural ponytails are in. Keep waves youthful and wispy. Rub some gloss through your hair and part it off center for an off-duty vibe.”
