Renowned jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis directs his septet for two nights at the Charleston Gaillard Center. The winner of nine Grammy Awards and the Pulitzer Prize in Music for his 1997 oratorio Blood on the Fields, Marsalis is joined by musicians playing saxophone, trombone, piano, bass, and drums. The performance features everything from historic compositions to the band’s innovative, original interpretations.
