SWAMP FOX ADVENTURE RACE

Lowcountry athletes are invited to enter a race not for the faint of heart. The Swamp Fox Adventure Race is a 55- to 60-mile solo or team event that requires participants to mountain bike, kayak, and trek from checkpoint to checkpoint, with only a map and compass to guide them. Taking place in the Francis Marion National Forest, this race gives competitors the chance to cross areas rarely traversed by man since the Swamp Fox, the famous Revolutionary War hero, did it himself.
