”MANNING WILLIAMS: REINVENTING NARRATIVE PAINTING”

This Gibbes Museum of Art exhibit features 30 pieces from the prolific career of realist painter Manning Williams, who died in 2012. A Charleston native and College of Charleston graduate, Williams is known for his emphasis on storytelling and was often inspired by picturesque Lowcountry landscapes. Museum guests must limit groups to three people or immediate family members, and a limited number of tickets is available to ensure social distancing. Gibbes Museum of Art, 135 Meeting St. Monday-Saturday, 10am-5pm; Sunday, 1-5pm. $12-$6.
